PRIMO POST! 

Ebbene sì, anche noi siamo riusciti in questa assurda impresa di localizzare questa strana avventura "punta e clicca" che vede come due protagonisti un mago cannibale e un principe idiota!

Com'è nato tutto? Colpa di Nicola (alias Coldest Heaven), che ha deciso di trascinarci a tutti i costi usando scuse bizzarre e arcani sotterfugi! In realtà con me c'è voluto poco... Ah già, io sono Vincenzo (alias Contro1990), e sono quello che si è occupato principalmente del lato tecnico e ho aiutato con qualche revisione qua e là e mi sono occupato del """doppiaggio""" del Narratore e del Mercante. Mi addossano anche la scelta del nome del Team, ma in realtà ho soltanto sfruttato una debolezza di Nicola per i nomi trash (debolezza sfruttata anche per la battuta "Cristo-foretti")! 

Ma perché sto scrivendo? Semplicemente perché Coldest ha deciso abbiamo deciso di creare una serie di post descrivendo ognuno un aspetto della traduzione o di piccoli aneddoti che si sono venuti a creare in queste 72 ore (che poi per un motivo o per un altro ci siamo ritrovati a sfruttarne sì e no la metà, ma credo che anche voi che state leggendo mi capirete). 

E COSA VI RACCONTO??? Eh, bella domanda! Volevo raccontarvi di come ho deciso di sistemare i file audio del doppiaggio con due cartelle separate invece di sostituire i file come proposto dalla Jam, ma ho scritto del codice veramente brutto  ma siamo qui per la localizzazione e non per le robe da nerd, quindi vi racconto del perché la nostra è la "Pollo Speziale Edition"! Non so se avete notato (ma sicuramente sì perché IO non ci ho fatto assolutamente caso, ma i colleghi subito, e per competenze sono più colleghi vostri che miei ç_ç) ma quando parlano dello "Space-Chicken", e SOLO quando parlano dello "Space-Chicken", pronunciano "Space" in modo strambo, in un modo che sembra quasi "Spice", e non capivamo se fosse perché sono australiani o perché sì e basta! Quindi per rispettare questa particolarità, abbiamo deciso di prenderci la licenza poetica e chiamarlo "Pollo Speziale"!

Il mio lavoro finisce qui! Tante belle cose a tutti e alla prossima!

FIRST POST!

Hell yeah, we succeeded in this absurd challenge and localized this weird point and click adventure with two really particular co-stars - a cannibal wizard and an idiot prince!

How did it all start? Basically it is Nicola's fault (aka Coldest Heaven). He decided to drag us in at all costs, using bizarre excuses and arcane subterfuges! To be honest, it took very little to convince me... Oh and by the way, I'm Vincenzo (aka Contro1990), and I'm the one who mainly took care of the technical side and helped with proofreading here and there. I also """dubbed""" the Narrator and the Merchant. The others blame me for the choice of the Team name, but in truth I just took advantage of Nicola's weakness for trashy names (this happened with the "Cristo-foretti" joke as well)!

So,  why am I writing? Simply because Coldest decided we decided to create a series of posts dedicated to the various aspects of the localization or little anecdotes that came up during this 72-hour insane marathon (for one reason or another, we ended up using about half of the allotted time, but I think y'all can understand me).

SO, WHAT COULD I TELL YOU??? Well, good question! I wanted to tell you about how I decided to arrange the dubbing audio files with two separate folders, instead of replacing the files as proposed by Jam, but actually I just coded it really bad. But we are here for localization and not for nerdy stuff, so I'll tell you about the reason behind our "Pollo Speziale Edition" ("Spice Chicken Edition")! I don't know if y'all noticed (I think you certainly did because I didn't notice it at all, but my colleagues did, and they are more in this field than I am ç_ç), but when the (presumably) Australian dubbers talk about the "Space-Chicken", and ONLY when they do that, they pronounce "Space" in a weird way that sounds almost like "Spice". We couldn't figure out if that was because they are Australian or for no reason at all. So basically, what we wanted to do was to preserve that peculiarity and took the license to call it "Pollo Speziale" (and the translation in English is "Spice Chicken")!
